NEXT GENERATION
Invest in the next generation of kids and students at Journey Church.
KIDS—Serve and teach our kids, ranging from the nursery through 5th grade, through age appropriate lessons and activities on Sunday mornings
STUDENTS—Lead and disciple a group of middle (6th-8th grade) or high school (9th-12th grade) students on Wednesday nights during the school year
COMMUNITY LIFE
Serve in meaningful ways that support the rhythms and relationships of church life.
COMMUNICATIONS—Aid with various communication team projects based on your area of expertise and interest
EVENTS—Help plan and coordinate details for various all-church and community events in our building
HELPING HANDS—Assist with urgent needs that arise in our community through tangibly showing Jesus’ love
MEALS—Coordinate and deliver meals to Journey families in times of need
WEDDING COORDINATORS—Provide direction, support, and hospitality for each bride and groom planning their big day at Journey
SUNDAY MORNINGS
Utilize your gifts to serve others during Sunday morning gatherings.
AUDIO & VISUAL SUPPORT—Be trained to run the audio and visual equipment for our Sunday morning services and other church events
BAPTISM ASSISTANCE—Help coordinate the logistics and setting up of our baptism mornings
COMMUNION ASSISTANCE—Assist in the preparation and set up/tear down for our communion mornings
CONNECTORS—Intentionally meet new people between services and help them get plugged into community at Journey
HOSPITALITY—Help welcome everyone on Sunday mornings by preparing and serving donuts, bagels, coffee, and juice before and between Sunday morning services
PRAYER—Praying with anyone who is in need at the end of our Sunday morning services
SAFETY & SECURITY—Ensure a safe worship experience for every person at Journey through providing Security on Sundays
WELCOME—Greet and welcome each person who comes through the doors with a warm smile and joy
WORSHIP—Share your gifts of singing or playing an instrument with the church

HEARTLAND HOPE MISSION—Partner with Heartland Hope Mission to provide hope and practical help to struggling families in our city through a variety of service opportunities.
LOCAL REFUGEE SERVE—Partner with Gretna Public Schools to bless and care for diverse people groups living in our own community through tangible service.
