finding connection doesn’t have to be complicated.
We get it. Getting connected at a church can feel complicated, messy, and even intimidating. At Journey, we want to help you find community and discover faith at your own pace, without pressure or pretense.
On this webpage, you’ll find an overview of the classes, opportunities, and connection points available to everyone at Journey. Follow along to connect, explore, and self-identify where you’re at today, then to choose your own best next step.
discover faith at your own pace
VISIT ON SUNDAY MORNING Join us at Journey Church any Sunday morning at 8, 9, or 10:30 am. Our services include live worship, prayer, and a message, and kids from nursery through fifth grade can be part of a Journey Kids classroom or stay with you in the service. We keep things casual—jeans, t-shirts, and sandals are all welcome—and there’s coffee and donuts in the lobby before you grab a seat. Whether you’re new or returning, you’ll find a warm, welcoming community ready to meet you and your family.

community groups
Community Groups at Journey are where faith becomes personal—where you find friends, share real life, and grow as you pursue Jesus together. Whether you’re ready to jump into an open group or want help finding the right fit, we’ll walk with you toward a group that works for your season and schedule.
for kids
Every Sunday, the dedicated Journey Kids team invests in the youngest members of our church community and teaches them about God and the Bible. Together, each class creates crafts, enjoys songs, and plays fun games as the kids learn. Our mission is to help you teach your kids to follow Jesus, and Journey Kids classrooms are available to kids ages 6 weeks through 5th Grade on Sunday mornings at all three services.
for STUDENTS
Journey Students is a place where middle and high school students build real friendships, ask honest questions, and grow in their faith in a fun, welcoming environment. On Wednesday nights, students in grades 6–12 gather for meaningful teaching, small groups led by caring adults, and plenty of time to laugh and have fun together.
serve
Serving is one of the primary ways we live out our faith—using our time and gifts to love others and point people to Jesus. Whether you’re ready to jump in or simply curious where you might fit, we’ll help you find a place to serve on one of our church or missions serve teams that feels meaningful and life-giving.
Give
Your generosity fuels what God is doing at Journey—helping people take next steps toward Jesus, strengthening families, and serving our community in real, tangible ways. When you give, you partner in a mission that reaches far beyond a single Sunday, impacting lives in Gretna and beyond.
Generosity isn’t just about what we give—it’s about who we’re becoming. In a three-part message series, we explored how Scripture shapes a generous heart and forms us more fully into the likeness of Christ. Click the link below to access the series.
