Meals that Matter is a series of 4-week mealtime small groups offering a chance to meet new people near you, share a meal, and build community. Each week, you'll meet with a group of under 10 people who attend Journey Church and enjoy great food and fellowship. The host family will provide the main dish, and you’re asked to bring a side to share.

You can explore details for each group below. After you select your group, we’ll send you details about the host family so you can prepare for the first mealtime.

group 1

Group Meeting Details:

  • This group will begin on Saturday, March 1st and meet on Saturdays through March 22nd from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. 

Group Notes:

  • This group is for adults (no children).

  • There will be a dog kept safely in a separate area.

group 2

Group Meeting Details:

  • This group will begin on Wednesday, March 5 and meet on Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7 pm through March 26.

Group Notes:

  • Children are welcome at this Gretna location.

  • This host family has dogs, and they'll be in another room during Meals that Matter gatherings.

GROUP 3

Group Meeting Details:

  • This group will begin on Sunday, March 2 and meet on Sundays from 5:30 - 7 pm through March 23.

Group Notes:

  • Children are welcome at this Millard/Omaha location.

  • This host family has cats and dogs, and they'll be in another room during Meals that Matter gatherings.

  • This group will begin on Friday, March 7 and meet on Fridays through March 28 from 6 - 7:30 pm.

Group Notes:

  • This group is for adults (no children).

  • This host family does not have cats or dogs.

  • Feel free to park in the driveway!
